Hello all you good people. My journey has begun. I am currently in a small village in the north of Thailand called Pai. I just returned from a photo hike in the hill tribes and I am chilling in this town with four streets, but believe it or not, I am in a cyber cafe called Small World and that it is.

The dollar is amazing – let’s see it is about 43 baht to the US dollar. It is about 50 baht to eat and 200 baht to sleep in a bungalow. Is this my sign to leave NYC? Let's just say you can live large here. This morning at breakfast I could not decide what to order so I said I'd order both choices. It still was less than a dollar.

The people are so friendly and receptive to having their picture taken. I spent the day photographing in a Buddhist temple. I feel full of happiness from the warmth of the people. Traveling alone in Thailand is easy travel, safe feeling and friendly, so all you worrying about me, I am just fine.

I leave this cool backpacker town tomorrow and I am off to the south. I check my email often so I’ll write again soon. I hope all is well with you all. Until we meet again soon.

Love, Jennifer
